As always with the new year I started to think of what could make 2014 better than 2013 and what things make me happy.
So I looked back at my 2013 New Years Resolutions/Goals if you want to read them you can do so here. I did ok on some of them and some of them I didn’t do at all.
I definitely need to get better and reading food labels. I just started using the Lose It and Healthy Out phone apps to help me eat better. I also use the weight watcher app and have started paying a lot more attention to how much sugar and fiber are in products.
I did have a garage sale and made almost $400 and got a lot of junk out of my house so that was good. I also participated in a declutter challenge this year so my house does look better you can see some of my progress here.
Unfortunately most of the negative people in my life are family members so I can’t really eliminate them out of my life. But I can spend less time with them and not let their negativity rub off on me.
I love reading books and have started reading more. It is relaxing and I like to read books that inspire me to live a better life.

So now onto some of my 2014 resolution/goals:
read more books-I have recently started to review cookbooks/books so they will definitely help me to read more
do some freezer cooking– I have always wanted to do some freezer cooking. I even have a Pinterest Board so I actually need to try some of the recipes. It would be so nice to have meals ready to go in the freezer into the crockpot in the mornings and have dinner done for the day.
eat healthier-I need to read food labels and also find some healthy snacks. I have borrowed some books from my local library to help me with some ideas. Also the phone apps I mentioned above should help me.
do more things for myself-get massages, go to movies, get a manicure, go shopping by myself, reading also makes me happy
read daily devotionals for woman-I already have the books so I set them on my nightstand as a reminder to actually read them everyday
try new recipes– I have a ridiculous amount of cookbooks I want to try to incorporate at least one new recipe a week
exercise more– I have already started doing this. I basically have a gym in my basement so I can just go down there and work out. I always feel so much better after I exercise.
live with gratitude-some days I can wake up in a crappy mood but I just need to look around at my beautiful family and be reminded of how lucky I am. It is easy to think about everything that upsets you or focus on bad things. Instead look around and see everything you have and realize how lucky you are. Gratitude is the best attitude. ~Author Unknown
