I went to Walgreens today and got some great deals. I spent $18.14 and got back $13 in RR. I did use $7 in RR from last week. I saved $41.22 a total of  72% savings. You can really save a lot of money by rolling your rewards into next weeks deals.

Here is a picture of what I got

 This is the breakdown:

Chex Mix 3/$3 used $0.50/2 manufacturer coupon got back $1 RR

Scope mouthwash 2/$6 used 2/$1.50 manufacturer coupons, got back $3RR

Crest mouthwash $3.99 used $0.50 manufacturer coupon got back $3 in RR

Mitchum Deodorant 2/$6 used $1.50/2 manufacturer coupon got back $4 RR

Herbal Essence Shampoo and Conditioner 2/$6 used $3/2 manufacturer coupon got back $2RR

24 pack of Nice Purified Water $1.99

Tresemme Shampoo and Conditioner  B1G1 50% off  $4.49 for first one and $2.24 for second one used 2/$1 manufacturer coupons and Walgreens coupon out of the September booklet took off $2

Sara Lee Bread $0.79

Walgreens is coming out with a new rewards program starting September 16th. You will use it just like the CVS Card you will have to have the Walgreens reward card in order to get the sale prices. The Register Reward program won’t change at all. Once I get more information I will do another post about it.

Walgreens is a great place to shop and you can get some great deals.

The first thing to do when you go into Walgreens is get a monthly coupon book. A new booklet comes out every month with new coupons. They are usually right by the door with the ads. The coupons in the booklet are Walgreens coupons so you can use them with manufacturer coupons and get some great deals.

In their ad you will see Register Reward Deals. An example from this week’s ad they have Listerine Mouthwash on sale for $4.99 and you will get $4.oo in register rewards back so you will only pay $0.99 for the mouthwash.

Register Rewards (RR) are like Catalina coupons, they print out of the Catalina machine after you have purchased the qualifying products. They are manufacturers coupons that you can only use at Walgreens.

The Register Rewards usually expire in 2 weeks. If you know you are not going to be back to Walgreens within that time you can break up your transactions to use the Register Rewards the same day. My store allows up to 3 transactions.

It will say on the Register Reward what you got the Register Reward for(ex P&G,Crest etc.). Make sure that if you are using a Register Reward to pay for your products that the item you are buying isn’t the same listed on the Register Reward.(only if you are expecting another Register Reward because it will not print the Register Reward )

Walgreens ad sometimes has Walgreens coupons in you can cut out and use with manufacturer coupons with them and get some great deals.

The biggest thing to remember when shopping at Walgreens is that you must have as many items as you do coupons. The register will beep and it won’t let you use all of your coupons. If you have more coupons than items you can buy filler items(pencil, candy bar etc)
