My son loves to play on the computer. I love when he plays educational games and can actually learn something from them. He starts first grade next week, he is really starting to get interested in science especially astrology. I found the perfect website where he can learn about astrology and so much more.

PowerMyLearning is a great website with tons of fun activities. You choose the activities by subject and then by grade.  The grades are kindergarten on up to high school. The best part is that it is free.

They have a lot of the subjects that you would see in school.

  • math
  • language arts
  • science
  • social studies
  • art& music
  • technology
  • word languages
  • your life

Then those subjects are broken down even further into sub categories.

The your life section is really neat and has so many great resources. Here is just a few things you can find:

  • Book Share-online library of digital books for every age
  • Career Ship-help match you up with careers
  • Preparing for school checklist- to get on track for college
  • Stop Bullying-resources about bullying

Some of my son’s favorite games were:

Change It!(FOSS)-shows you what happens when solids become liquids

Lunar Cycle-solve the puzzle by figuring out the lunar cycle

Review:

I can’t say enough about how great this website is. My son was so excited to start using it. I love that they have so many subjects to choose from and that you can play by grade level. That helps my son a lot he gets frustrated when he can’t figure out games that he is trying to play. He had no problem playing any of these since they were under his grade level. My son is learning Spanish in school so he loved the fact that he knew some of the spanish words under the World Language area.I enjoyed watching him play and to see his excitement. He already bookmarked it as a favorite on the computer so he can play it whenever he wants. I would recommend this for kids of all ages they can play and learn at the same time.
