Welcome to Week 16 of the Frumpy to Fabulous series-this week it is choose your morning cereal wisely.

Make sure you read the labels on cereal boxes a lot of them are hiding extra sugars and artificial ingredients.

Here are some suggestions for cereal:

  • Cheerios
  • Shredded Wheat
  • Fiber One
  • Grape Nuts

I also found this great article that gives you tips on how to choose a healthy breakfast cereal.

I have paying more attention lately when I buy cereal. I like the sugary cereals that my kids like but I have been looking more at the labels. Some of my favorites are Multi Grain Cheerios and Raisin Bran.

    I know I should start buying healthier cereal, but its so hard to give up my fruity pebbles :). I do want to try to start eating cheerios and corn flakes though. Its just hard to see the kids eating the sugary cereal as I’m eating corn flakes lol

    We eat a lot of cheerios in this house.

  • I LOVE LOVE LOVE GrapeNuts! I had forgotten about those! I am adding them to my grocery list now. Yum. I have been known to eat them for breakfast, lunch, OR dinner when I was in a hurry lol

  • I like grapenuts, but I usually have a breakfast sandwich. I know, I am horrible.
